Our reason for being
We noticed how complicated and costly it was to simply access the legal information of companies, and in particular all the legal documentation. We therefore collected and published online millions of documents filed with the registry, thanks to the new Open Data regulation of the administration, in order to make this information available, free and usable by as many people as possible.
But the problem goes beyond access to this data: despite the growing amount of information available, it is difficult to structure, keep up-to-date and complete. By carefully collecting and analysing company data, we first built a search engine and then other products allowing easy access to the entire life of companies registered in the trade and companies register.
Thus, thanks to Pappers, thousands of users access economic information in real time every day, personalised and as contextual as possible.
Our conviction at Pappers is that the legal and financial data of companies must be free and open to all. For too long, this information has been the subject of a monopoly that did not serve financial transparency or the collective interest. But, in addition to giving access to this data, we wanted to go further with Pappers. That is why we created an ultra-powerful search engine that intelligently analyses, catalogues and sorts all this information.
